For over 20 years, it has been our mission to provide safe, reliable, and professional student transportation for school districts throughout the metropolitan area. We do not operate the big yellow school buses. We use mini-vans and full size vans to safely transport small groups of general education students and students with special needs to and from school, vocational services and other enrichment activities in the community. The safety of the students, our drivers and the general public is always our number one priority.
We believe Assisted Transportation is a great place to work. We provide paid training, uniforms and offer a competitive salary with weekly pay. In addition to a rewarding experience, Team members have a flexible schedule, enjoy a split and/or straight shift and are eligible to work between 20 and 40 hours per week when school is in session. Team members also have their evenings, weekends, holidays, and summers off!
We own and operate three different types of vehicles: Mini-vans, Full size vans, and Activity vans, depending on the number of students we transport at the same time. Our air-conditioned vans are equipped with GPS technology, security cameras and communication devices connecting the Driver and Dispatcher. Assisted Transportation is always responsible for the vehicle insurance, maintenance and fuel.
We have branch offices in Kansas City, KS, Olathe, Overland Park, and North Kansas City, MO. We base vans, drivers, and a supervisor at all of these locations with Drivers starting and finishing their day there. Team members have the opportunity to select an office location based upon what works best for them.
